Secure the future for the next generation
Siting
We seek out land that is well-suited for renewable projects. We look for sites with a strong energy resource, easy access to transmission lines, and (most importantly) landowners who are interested in working with renewable energy developers.
Planning
We work closely with you to ensure that we understand your goals and concerns. From those discussions, we ensure that your lease agreement is customized to meet your needs and covers things like crop damage, drain tile, soil compaction, road maintenance, decommissioning, and more.
Partner
We identify a utility company or developer with a proven track record of success and a reputation for fairness and communication. This company will be bound by the terms of your lease to ensure your land and financial interest are protected.
Approval
Before construction can begin, the new owner will complete the design and engineering of the project, conduct a detailed environmental review, and secure all required permits and authorizations. The duration of this process can vary from state to state and county to county.
Construction
With permits in-hand and a green light from regulators, the project can move ahead with construction. This can take up to twelve months or longer, depending on the size of the project.
Interconnection
Wind and solar projects connect to the electricity grid and become a source of power. Before connecting to the grid, the local utility will inspect the site to verify compliance with the interconnection requirements. Once satisfied, the utility will connect the project to the grid to generate power and the project is officially operational.
Operation
The project owner is responsible for operating and maintaining all its own facilities and equipment and the system will continue to operate with minimal intervention. On a periodic basis, the operator will perform routine maintenance.
